This organization is founded by amazing Yemi. Yemi grew up in Africa where she went through a poor educational system. Her educational opportunities were limited due to her family’s lack of financial stability and the government’s inability to provide quality educational resources. When she moved here she found a colossal difference in the quality of education. She has been able to research the issue of educational inequality and “Raising a Scholar” is her way of combating it.
She has the following opportunities for anyone to be involved with:
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS/OPPORTUNITIES
RaS $500 scholarship: Everyone deserves the chance to obtain a high-quality education, but unfortunately for many students, money is a limiting factor. At Raising a Scholar we believe that all students should have equal access to educational opportunities. As a small solution to the national student debt crisis (1.8 trillion dollars), the Raising a Scholar $500 dollar scholarship will be open to all students regardless of nationality. We encourage students to continuously apply for scholarship opportunities in order to support their educational advancement.
Eligibility: Rising high school seniors, college students (freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior)
Selection Criteria: Essay, Drive/purpose
Application is due by December 15
Winner will be notified by January 15

AMBASSADORIAL OPPORTUNITIES
Our Ambassadors are the representatives of the organization. As an ambassador, you are tasked with duties of your assigned section. Our available ambassador positions include Social media ambassador, Mentoring ambassador, Scholarship ambassador, and Chapter ambassador.
Social Media Ambassadors help run our social media pages, create content, and ensure that our pages are up to date.
Mentoring Ambassadors oversee the mentoring program and are in charge of recruiting mentors. They also reach out to organizations and schools about our mentoring program.
Scholarship Ambassadors help administer scholarship funds and serve as examples to fellow scholarship recipients. They help work with organizations and communities to share success stories and opportunities. To be a scholarship ambassador you must be a recipient of the Raising a Scholar $100 scholarship award or any educational-based award.
Chapter Ambassadors help with resource donation and distribution. They are in charge of getting resources across to people in need.
